Manager, Research & Strategy Analytics
About the roleÂ
In this role you will manage the planning, execution, and delivery of topline metrics and strategic analyses in partnership with Chime’s Finance team. Chime’s business and its members exist in an ever-evolving economic climate. You’ll help Chime understand what these shifts mean for members and what this means for Chime’s business. How will government stimulus programs impact members? What will economic reopening mean for Chime? These are the types of questions you’ll work on in this role. With analytical rigor, you’ll surface insights and recommendations that will shape Chime’s direction.Â
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of strategy analytics work and the relationships with partners in Finance.
- Own the development and analysis of key business metrics that will be used by other analytics teams and stakeholders around the company including finance, product, risk, and member services.
- Be a mentor to analysts on your team, both with regards to technical skills but also in how to convert insights into business change.Â
- Be an arbiter of truth with data. You’ll use data to help the organization understand how members are interacting with Chime and what improvements and additional features we might need to better serve our members and give them financial peace of mind.Â
- Partner widely. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Finance team (Strategic Finance, FP&A, and Corporate Finance), and collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Operations & Member Experience, and Risk. The stronger these partnerships, the more successful you and Chime will be.Â
- Ask why a lot. Your proactive inquisitiveness, supported by your data dexterity, means you’re performing first-of-its-kind analyses.
To thrive in this role, you haveÂ
- 7+ years in a data-focused role, performing and directing deep-dive analyses and defining key business metrics.
- Extensive stakeholder management experience and a Northstar for how Analytics partners with business units.
- Expertise in SQL - you translate business questions to queries, understand the edge cases of joins, and explore a warehouse to find the data you need with ease.
- Knowledge of a scripting language (python or R) for data analysis.
- Sound statistical inference skills, with the ability to communicate uncertainty. appropriately to business stakeholders.
- Experience designing metrics and building mechanisms to fuel business insights.
- A focus on impact - you don’t stop with just recommendations but ensure to see work through to changing the business.
