The Business Operations team works across every aspect of Algolia to drive and enable our growth. We lead mission-critical, cross-functional efforts, deliver objective analysis and insights, and execute on strategic initiatives. 

Algolia is looking for an analytical Sr. Business Operations Analyst who is passionate about driving business impact through data-driven insights to help the team scale. This candidate will work cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to drive different projects and initiatives. 

We’re looking for someone who is equally skilled at crafting a thoughtful plan with recommendations as well as rolling up their sleeves to get things done. You are creative when it comes to overcoming roadblocks, proactive at identifying opportunities for improvement and gaining executive sponsorship, and strong at building a plan to execute on. Additionally, you are incredibly detail-oriented, have a drive for excellence, and a passion to scale and build a hyper-growth SaaS company.

Your Role Will Consist Of:

  • You’ll serve as a key and trusted business partner reporting to the Director of Business Operations and will be interacting with Senior Leadership, including the Executive Team on a regular basis. You will lead efforts in an unstructured environment to identify product, customer, partner or market insights and improve decision-making across various stakeholders, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Success, Operations, Finance and Senior Executives.
  • Report to and support our Director of Business Operations
  • Own Algolia’s Pricing Strategy and drive iteration, execution and success metrics
  • Drive a new cadence for Algolia’s Key Operating Metrics working in conjunction with our CFO and other Functional Leaders 
  • Support the Executive team in their decision making by developing data-driven analyses
  • Develop needle-moving hypotheses by analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Design data-driven experiments (e.g. product adoption, expansion motion, customer journey, segmentation, … etc)
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations to prioritize business and information needs and drive scale
  • Manage medium size projects towards timely completion and maximum impact
  • Contribute to critical input and recommendations to the Data Analytics Team

You Might Be A Fit If You Have:

  • BA/BS degree required, a graduate degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role or operating experience in an enterprise software or SaaS company is preferred
  • Been directly involved in Pricing & Packaging analysis & execution for enterprise SaaS companies
  • Worked on and understood customer behavior and growth in enterprise SaaS companies
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization with analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Domo, ... etc.) and Excel/Google SheetsProficient SQL experience is a plus
  • High quality analysis and presentation skills 
  • Ability to dive into large volumes of data and develop actionable insights for the business are key to success in this role
  • Experience (and preferably an enjoyment of) balancing numerous different priorities and demands
  • Take meaningful responsibility to shape and execute on our strategy and operations
  • Practical business understanding with genuine passion for technology, data, and/or entrepreneurship
  • Strategic thinker with excellent business judgment
  • Ability to be autonomous 
  • High-energy, team-first, positive attitude
