Title: Senior Data Engineer 

Duties: The Senior Data Engineers (Multiple Positions Open) at Chime Financial, Inc. in San Francisco, California will serve as a hands-on data engineer by building, scaling and optimizing ETL pipelines. Utilize SQL to build dashboards and help partner teams with tuning and performance improvements of SQL. Design data warehouse schemas and make sure upstream changes are documented and persisted. Responsible for schema registry and dependency chart for persistent data. Responsible for all aspects of data - data quality, data governance, data and schema design, data quality and security. Manage the ETL workflows and make sure the pipeline meets data quality and availability requirements. Work closely with partner teams, like Data Science, Analytics and DevOps. Understand key metrics for data pipelines and has built solutions to provide visibility to partner teams. 

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or directly related field plus 5 years of experience developing ETL processes in data warehouses using Kettle, and Python, Scala or Java. Must also have 5 years of experience with each of the following: (1) performing dimensional data modeling and schema design in data warehouses; (2) working directly with SQL to profile data, generate analytics and create reports; (3) performing shell scripting in a Linux/Unix environment; (4) working with massive scale relational databases (MPP), including HPE Vertica; and  (5) using Tableau or Business Objects to create real-time reports and automated dashboards to derive data-driven insights for business users.
