About the Role: 

The charter of the Data Science team at KeepTruckin is to leverage best-in-class data to build amazing, novel products for our customers. Past examples include Facility Insights (24/7 predictions of wait times at hundreds of thousands of warehouses) and the DRIVE safety model (industry-defining forecast of driver accident risk). Put simply-- your job is to build models that will surprise and delight our users.
As a Senior member of the Data Science team, you'll lead a major new product initiative end to end. We will count on you to find and leverage structure in our high dimensional spatiotemporal datasets. You'll work with product and engineering teams to build and deploy the right model. We win or lose as a team, so you will have support and encouragement as you tackle new problems. 

What You’ll Do: 

- Frame customer problems as models; develop practical approaches to estimation and deployment
- Iterate and test models to ensure our customer experience is top notch
- Think hard about measurement. Metric definitions matter a lot
- Present and explain your work so that the entire company can talk about it. Work cross-functionally to make sure that it gets utilized correctly 

What We’re Looking For: 

- 4+ years as a full-time data scientist (or PhD plus 2 years)
- Experience in recommender or ranking systems
- Strong communicator
- Python expertise, bonus if you've used PySpark
- Transportation/logistics industry experience a plus
