In the Real Chemistry Data Office, we integrate across data sources, functions, methodologies, and technologies, to deliver insights that lead to intelligent action for our healthcare clients and their critical business decisions in the Clinical, Commercial, and Corporate domains.

As a Senior Director, Data Analytics R&D in the Real Chemistry Data Office you will be responsible for (1) developing, deploying, and scaling innovative analytical solutions that leverage both Real Chemistry’s and our client’s data assets, (2) applying quantitative methodologies, techniques, and tools to develop best-in-class insights that inform healthcare stakeholder activation, and (3) administering our data and analytics assets to maximize their value across the Real Chemistry enterprise.

You will primarily be focused on developing and delivering analytics methods to enhance HCP and patient activation throughout the clinical development lifecycle (clinical trial planning, recruitment and retention) with a focus on digital activation. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify business opportunities, goals and objectives, building analytical solutions, and interpreting the results of those solutions for internal and external consumption. You understand the intricacies of healthcare or other heavily regulated environments and will be a thought leader, bring new ideas and approaches, helping to define and deliver our data analytics offerings. You will partner with the internal Real Chemistry team and external clients and partners to implement, automate, and operationalize solutions that will make you a significant contributor to the overall success of client business.

All employees are currently working remote; once our offices re-open, this position can be in one of our offices, including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Austin, Philadelphia, San Francisco, New Hope, Florham Park, NJ or can be fully remote.

What you’ll do

  • Bring new ideas and approaches to the organization to employ data and analytics to drive client value, including helping to re(define) our offerings

  • Lead and manage research projects from proposal stage to analytics to client delivery, collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders across each project milestone

  • Develop research framework and tell stories across disparate datasets including clinical, RWD, social, and digital activation

  • Review team deliverables, elevating findings into reports and outputs that bring a story to life 

  • Produce analytics deliverables

  • Present research reports and others forms of outputs to clients, coach team members on their presentation skills, and engage as a leader in client meetings

  • Manage the professional development of direct reports, providing regular and timely feedback and guidance

  • Cultivate strong people managers, including developing basic managerial skills and problem-solving when challenges arise

  • Create and nurture long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Effectively grow existing business and serve as a strategic partner in successful new business pitches

  • Provide support in identifying new business opportunities through research and analysis of client clinical development pipelines and needs where Real Chemistry supports

  • Provide guidance on research and analytics methodologies based on client priorities and internal capabilities

  • Interview, train, and onboard new hires and oversee direct reports in completing these activities

What you’ll bring

  • 6+ years of hands-on data and analytics experience in the biopharmaceutical industry across a variety of data sets and analytical methodologies

  • 3+ years of team management, including career development and project leadership

  • Experience using statistical modeling and data science to solve problems in the biopharmaceutical domain with a focus on clinical development including applications to digital and offline data

  • Understanding of statistics including regression, estimation, hypothesis testing, attribution, forecasting, and Bayesian methods.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in the use of tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Excel) for manipulating data and drawing insights from data sets

  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or DOMO.
