The Senior Manager, Workforce Planning and Analytics is a key partner in driving the operating results supporting the operations activities of the company. Robust understanding of customer service operations is a key requirement for the successful candidate. You are results oriented and have thrived in a highly ambiguous environment. You know how to be scrappy but operate as part of a larger team and business. The role requires innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and operational focus. You will need to develop analytical approaches, tools and processes, leveraging the best and creating the rest. High judgement, ability to influence, analytical ability, exceptional communication skills and leadership are essential to success in this role.You are someone who is willing to roll up your sleeves, have high ownership and are maniacally focused on delivering results. You love diving deep and using data to identify opportunities and guide improvements. You will interact closely with the leadership, customer operations and finance teams and identify/manage critical projects that improve productivity, increase capacity, and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction. You will focus on operational innovation and excellence for the workforce planning capability of our rapidly growing business.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Own modeling of variable labor workforce, partnering with VP of Operations to inform long term labor decisions as well as day to day forecasting for both internal and partner teams.
  • Develop complex labor cost sensitivity models to inform assess financial impact of large strategic decisions andas well as volume-amplified smaller operational changes.
  • Create accurate, timely management level reporting.
  • Drive the analysis around margin improvement.
  • Partner closely with Customer Service and Design Operations to model variables driving labor cost.
  • Develop and manage efficiency analysis tools to forecast better predict labor needs that manage costs while improving quality for both internal teams and 3rd party partners.
  • Forecast vendor budgets and identify opportunities for renegotiation.
  • Ad hoc projects as directed.

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA strongly preferred .
  • 5+ years of experience at a management consulting, investment banking, and/or venture-backed startup, preferably in the online or consumer industry.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience .
  • Experience with workforce management systems and planning preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and experience in financial modeling required, SQL knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Ability to present voluminous data in a concise, clear manner and derive actionable business insight.
  • Experience developing/improving processes and creating plans to increase efficiency.
  • Strong team player; experience working effectively cross-functionally and across different levels of the company.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
