Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Data Infrastructure

We are looking for operationally-minded software engineers that want to take our data platform to the next level. As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with the data engineering team to build, operate and scale our data infrastructure systems with a focus on automation and self-service.

You should have experience running production data environments at scale, with production experience working with Kafka. Troubleshooting and performance optimization of Linux systems in the cloud or on bare metal is also beneficial. You should have the knack for problem solving and be well-versed and hands-on with different data frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Administer, manage and scale Kafka and related systems
• Ensure the reliability and availability of critical data infrastructure
• Diagnose and fix complex issues across the entire stack
• Design and develop automation / frameworks to handle both development and production activities at scale
• Advise other engineering teams on best practice integration with our platforms
• Innovate on our environment with the purpose of pushing our infrastructure to the next level

What We're Looking For

• Experience operating Kafka at scale in a production environment
• Experience with scalable data pipelines and event systems
• Experience debugging and tuning Linux based operating systems
• Proficiency working in distributed teams
• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
• Periodic travel for engineering meetups (
