Virta is in a phase of rapid growth, and as a member of the Data Infrastructure team, you will be among peers who are passionate about data scalability, traceability and seek to find solutions to bring a balance between rapid iteration and security compliance in the healthcare care industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs 
• Design streaming data pipelines and ensure data flows in near-real time
• Automate systems to ensure valid data models are preserved throughout the system
• Improve MLOps workflow that enables machine learning applications at scale
• Willing to quickly learn technologies and adopt best practices in all areas

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

• Design new data pipelines to move critical healthcare data following ELT design principle
• Work with data scientists to improve various data models
• Pair with machine learning engineers to improve model training and release process

Must-Haves

• 4+ years of experience in data infrastructure software engineering or similar roles
• Highly skilled in Python software development
• Versed in leveraging SQL at scale
• Familiarity with BigQuery or other data warehouses
• Familiarity with stream based data pipeline architecture using Apache Spark/Beam or similar technologies
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
