A day in the life of our Engineer:
We are looking for a cross-functional engineer ready to join our data engineering team in San Francisco.
In this role, you will be building business-critical, robust, and scalable data solutions that power financial reporting, self-serve analytics, user recommendations, and marketing integrations. Additionally, working closely with the DevOps team, you will function as a service owner that owns, manages, and helps to evolve our data infrastructure!
About You:
- 5+ years of ETL, schema design, data modeling, and database programming
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon or similar cloud services
- 2+ years of experience in any programming language, preferably Python
- Significant experience working with large scale distributed data systems
- Expert-level SQL skills
- An analytical demeanor and passion for solving business problems using data
- Experience with handling large data sources of varying types - structured/relational and unstructured
- Comfortable with using Linux/Unix systems when debugging infrastructure issues
- 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Spark experience is a plus
