Credit Karma’s Recommendation Systems team is looking for a technical leader to help craft how Credit Karma personalizes offsite marketing to our members.

Our vision is to run highly effective off-site advertising campaigns on Google, Facebook and many other sites that are profoundly personalized for each member, fully tracked and deeply automated. We advertise off-site via Search Engine Marketing and Display Ads. Your role will be to drive the architecture, design and implementation of a holistic system that optimizes personalization for offsite marketing.

What you’ll do:

• Elicit and understand overall system requirements
• Collaborate with partners to evolve existing systems for improved coordination
• Develop and roll out the system to deliver measurable results
• Lead a team of top engineers and take responsibility for the team’s results

What we are looking for:

• You led large scope initiatives and owned platforms or large sub systems
• You have deep expertise in building data pipelines or machine learning systems
• You have expert-level skills in Scala, Java or another JVM or functional language

Additional experience you bring:

• You have experience in personalization, ad tech or a related field
• You are familiar with cloud services and modern data stacks
• You are comfortable with high throughput, low latency, highly resilient systems
• You know how to build systems that are mission-critical and drive company success
