About the Role

In this role, you will become an early member of Nuro’s Strategy & Business Operations team. We are a small, tight-knit team that leads cross-functional efforts to formulate and manage the company’s overall strategy, execute on strategic initiatives, and deliver insights on the company’s most critical priorities. We look for a first-principles thinker who is energized by hard problems and has the ability to influence and motivate others. As a member of the team, you’ll get to drive mission-critical projects for one of the leaders in the robotics and autonomous vehicle space.

About the Work

• Strategy Formulation - You’ll help shape the future of the autonomous vehicle industry by contributing to the overall strategy and business model of one of the world’s first commercial autonomous services. While we have made significant progress, there are still a number of big questions that have yet to be answered

• Strategic Initiatives - You’ll get to own and drive a number of cross-functional strategic initiatives. These initiatives may span from product design to service improvements to economic forecasting. You will become a trusted partner for our product, hardware, operations, and finance teams

• Operational Execution - You’ll be helping optimize our on-the-ground AV operations as we scale out our delivery service. There are many different aspects of operational optimization, and you’ll be working with various teams to make sure that the right strategy, priorities, and plans are set

About You

• You have a consistent track record of excellence. You have relevant experience (2+ years) in management consulting, investment banking, or business operations at a large, well-established company or a high-growth tech startup

• You are a world-class problem solver and strategic thinker. You are a structured thinker who is adept at using frameworks and data to help structure the team’s thinking and solve complicated, multifaceted problems

• You are quantitative and data-driven. You are great with Excel and other analytical tools, and have the ability to build complex but clean, well-structured models that are easy to follow

• You are highly resourceful and driven. You have a clear sense of ownership, and are internally motivated to work hard to drive to meaningful results with minimal direct supervision. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will have to wear multiple hats

• You have the unique ability to communicate complex ideas and influence others. You possess the ability to distill complex analyses and nuanced circumstances with ease, whether in formal presentation settings or quick emails to stakeholders

• You have a growth mindset. You possess intellectual curiosity and the insatiable urge to learn and grow as a person and professional every single day. You won’t always have the answers, but you have the humility and willingness to continuously learn and develop your skill set

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math is a plus
