This position is through Upwork’s Talent Innovation Program (TIP). Our TIP team is a global group of professionals that augment Upwork’s business. Our TIP team members are located all over the world.

Upwork is looking for someone to own CRM analytics which is currently predominantly email. The project will last 3 months with a possibility of extension depending on project need and performance. This person will own our email operational performance, impact driven by email on the business and advise us on ways to grow the channel. This resource will have a strong test and learn background and experience in building analytics infrastructure to guide the team from data production to data consumption to enabling action through the data. Must have prior experience in working with email teams closely and building visualizations and providing insights based on data. A clear way to demonstrate incremental impact of email is a way to get our attention.
Your Responsibilities:
- Build visibility into the impact of email performance on operational and business metrics.
- Own the email data infrastructure and partner with Data & Platform Services to enable easy access of data to everyone.
- Provide weekly performance summary for executive consumption and run weekly team meetings to review campaign performance.
Must have requirements:
- Expert at SQL
- Experienced in visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI.
Nice to have items:
- Some experience in measuring in push notifications and in-product messaging
- Experienced in email marketing analytics with a background in segmentation and targeting
- Strong background in A/B testing and incrementality measurement.
