Position Overview:

Corsair is looking for a top tier candidate for its Transportation & Trade Compliance Senior Analyst role. The Analyst will provide operational and analytical support while assisting in the development of continuous improvement programs across Corsair’s global supply chain.  Collaboration with internal functional departments (Procurement, Finance, Sales, Product Management/Engineering) and external logistics & trade service providers to enhance decision-making is critical for this role.  Key areas of focus include:

  • Transportation operations – global air, ocean, truck and small package
  • Freight bill-audit and payment (FBAP)
  • Logistics metrics management
  • Logistics provider sourcing and performance management
  • Import trade compliance
  • Export trade control

The ideal candidate will possess experience managing international logistics operations within a dynamic and fast paced environment.  A solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain network operating costs and their respective internal and market influenced drivers will ensure the Analyst delivers the required level of support and value.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Support the procurement and implementation of a third-party FBAP solution and assume administrative oversight of the program
  • Administer freight claims management program and outsource to 3rd party provider (future FBAP partner)
  • Manage and enhance the existing logistics dashboard, and collaborate with Finance to analyze actual and forecasted transportation and trade compliance spends
  • Manage shipment issue-escalations and assist internal functions in the arrangement of carriage for adhoc and/or urgent shipments
  • Support the logistics provider sourcing (LSP) process (e.g., competitive bid development, provider assessment, tariff/contract negotiation, etc.)
  • Assist with the development of performance metrics for preferred and strategic LSPs and support the performance management process (e.g., Scorecard, Business review preparation, SOP enhancements, etc.)
  • Serve as logistics liaison between Finance and Sales Operations for revenue recognition activities pertaining to delivery confirmation and POD collection
  • Develop logistics & trade process documentation and educate/train partnering functions and external service providers
  • Support export and import (EXIM) product classification process – harmonized system (HS) codes and export control classification numbers (ECCN)
  • Assist with the development of a US Export Control Training program for Corsair employees
  • Ensure compliance with Corsair Code of Ethics & Business Conduct Guidelines, Purchasing Policies & Procedures, and legal & ethical business practices as well as operating procedures

Key Requirements & Desired Skills:

  • 7+ years’ experience in logistics (transportation and distribution) and/or trade compliance managing operations from the shipper perspective supporting B2B and B2C customer markets
  • BS/MBA in logistics or supply chain management; equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • Data-driven and proficient managing multiple data sources with authority using MS Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g., MS Power BI)
  • Competent communicator (email/verbal/presentation) and comfortable showcasing work output and cases/ideas via MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with import (WCO HS) and export (US ECCN) commodity classification and engaging key external partners (i.e. customs house brokerage service providers, customs authorities and partnering government agencies
  • Savvy with developing business cases and translating data into concise actionable recommendations
  • Keen knowledge of US domestic and international (incoterms) terms of sale
  • Familiar with dangerous goods (DG) regulations - IATA, 49CFR and IMDG certification preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15% (US/International)
  • Virtual office initially with plan to return to office in 2021/2022 – MIN 4 days in-office long-term
  • Individual contributor role – no direct reports
