Art Director, Lifecycle
About the roleÂ
We are hiring for an Art Director of Lifecycle Communications on our Marketing Creative team. As our expert in crafting creative for lifecycle, you will help Lifecycle, Product, and Creative teams strategize, design, and execute assets to support product launches, extend integrated campaigns, and deliver member-obsessed communications of all kinds. You are email obsessed and product-savvy. You love the challenge of creating riveting inbox content, simplifying complex product briefs into delightful, actionable content. You are driven to out-perform, always looking to increase click-thru rates, product adoption, conversion, and more. You see email and push notifications as primary drivers towards brand and product success. Nothing is ever “just” an email. The right person will be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment. You are ready to dig-in and get things done. But, you’re also a pro at giving feedback, guiding designers and partners towards success. This role is all about ensuring we meet our goals, support Product teams, and connect our brand with people’s daily lives through emails they are excited to open. Â
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Collaborate closely and seamlessly with partners in Lifecycle and Product teams to create high-performing assets that consider best-practices but push to rise above
- Study and stay abreast of email, rich push, and in-app trends and best-practices to develop creative strategies and hypothesis
- Create designs, animations, and assets to embody and promote the Chime brand in new and exciting ways
- Mentor talented creatives, motivating, guiding, and influencing not just the work, but their personal growth and career development
- Collaborate with external agencies, providing art direction that improves the work and maintains the standards of the Chime brand
- Present work to, collaborate with, and influence stakeholders across teams and functions
- Champion high caliber design throughout Chime. You’re a role model to other designers and other parts of the company
To thrive in this role, you have
- A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related design field (or applicable experience)
- 8+ years of professional experience in design with a proven history designing and creating for lifecycle channels
- 2+ years leading, mentoring, and managing designers
- Expert abilities in Adobe Creative Suite (including light animation) and proficiency in Figma
- Ownership and Accountability. You are steadfast, reliable, and continuously looking to go above and beyond, both for the company and your team.Â
- Ability to Lead Alongside. You inspire, mentor, and give feedback with a sincere desire to help others grow.Â
- Top-Tier Design Chops. You are a master of design, art direction, and design software. You are able to help the team problem-solve, level up, and improve to strengthen the brand.Â
