Art Director, Social & Content
About the roleÂ
We are hiring for an Art Director of Social & Content on our Marketing Creative team. As our expert in designing creative for social media, you will help Chime’s Social, Content Marketing, and Creative teams strategize, concept, and execute exciting new assets to propel our already stellar digital presence! You are inspired by culture, motivated by data, and passionate about creativity. You are versed in channel-based best-practices, quick to capitalize on emerging trends, and not afraid to try something new. You are a seasoned design pro who just so happens to eat, sleep, and breathe social media. Your approach is equal parts analytical, logical, and wildly creative. You bring a perspective on not just design, but photography and content, as well. You are comfortable contributing directly and guiding teams. The right person will be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment. You are ready to dig-in and get things done. But, you’re also a pro at giving feedback, guiding other designers and agency partners towards success. This role is all about ensuring our social presence is engaging, exciting, and connecting our brand with people’s daily lives.Â
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.Â
In this role, you can expect to
- Work in lock-step with our social and content teams to create highly relevant creative that engages our audience and makes Chime a household name
- Study and stay abreast of pop-culture, media, and internet trends to develop creative content, strategies and hypothesis
- Create designs, animations, and assets to embody and promote the Chime brand in new and exciting ways
- Mentor talented creatives, motivating, guiding, and influencing not just the work, but their personal growth and career development
- Collaborate with external agencies, providing art direction that improves the work and maintains the standards of the Chime brand
- Present work to, collaborate with, and influence stakeholders across teams and functions
- Champion high caliber design throughout Chime. You’re a role model to other designers and other parts of the company
To thrive in this role, you have
- A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related design field (or applicable experience)
- 8+ years of professional experience in design with a proven history designing and creating for social channels
- 2+ years leading, mentoring, and managing designers
- Expert abilities in Adobe Creative Suite (including light animation) and proficiency in Figma
- Ownership and Accountability. You are steadfast, reliable, and continuously looking to go above and beyond, both for the company and your team.Â
- Ability to Lead Alongside. You inspire, mentor, and give feedback with a sincere desire to help others grow.Â
- Top-Tier Design Chops. You are a master of design, art direction, and design software. You are able to help the team problem-solve, level up, and improve to strengthen the brand.Â
