Brand Design Lead
About you:
We're looking for a creative and experienced Brand Design Lead to develop the Udemy brand across all parts of our business. You'll think holistically about our brand strategy and develop the creative system for the world’s leading ed-tech brand. You will be the brand steward, ensuring all touchpoints are consistent and the guidelines are adhered to across all departments. You'll help infuse brand in all of our user touch points through visuals, tone, voice, and experience. You will be a part of a cross functional team, working with product design, enterprise level offerings to connect the brand to the larger user experience.

Here's what you'll be doing
- Provide inspirational creative leadership for the creative team and the broader company
- Help rollout our brand across all channels, business units and global offerings
- Build a team - lead, coach, and grow a team of designers
- Collaborate with copywriters, video, and producers to deliver creative assets for all marketing and brand activations across Udemy
- Partner with our facilities team to create an inspiring branded workplace
- Develop creative systems, style guides, and processes necessary to execute our brand strategy and deliver consistent brand experiences both online and offline
- Work with marketing, product, and other team leads to achieve business and brand goals across B2C and B2B users
- Protect the integrity of the brand, while encouraging creative exploration and risk-taking
- Collaborate with product design to create a unified end-to-end customer experience
- Serve as "Player – Coach" to the growing design team, rolling up your sleeves to pitch in and deliver work
We're excited about you because you have:
- 10+ years of experience at a creative or ad agency, graphic design firm, or in-house creative department with strong focus on Brand Building
- An exceptional and impressive portfolio that showcases your design skills with a wide breadth design skills
- The ability to think strategically, creatively, and tactically
- Experience with creating systems of sub-brands within a larger umbrella brand and keeping the many moving parts consistent and on brand
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Extremely strong attention to detail
- Proactive. Will follow up when things don’t get resolved
- Enthusiasm and passion for quality
- Low ego: must be humble
- Team player, has to be able to work with lots of people and be patient
- Animation, UI/UX, art direction a plus
