Segment’s Design team is growing so we can build new products and services that help define the future of customer data infrastructure and insights. We are looking for an experienced Brand Designer who can take the lead on designing and art-directing highly impactful, business critical projects. Please note that this is a 6-month contract position. Potential to move to full time is dependent on business need.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the lead voice of brand design on a variety of marketing projects and initiatives
  • Help bring Segment’s new brand to life
  • Design all kinds of assets from the website, customer collateral and internal docs to billboards, train ads, and events collateral
  • Effectively communicate and present work to project collaborators and senior leadership

What you’ll bring:

  • 4+ years experience designing for agencies or in-house design teams
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of marketing and/or brand design work across various media, with a crisp attention to detail, adherence to a brand/design system, and creativity!
  • Ability to create concepts for new creative experimentation from campaigns to ad formats and channels for testing, with a strong understanding of what kinds of illustrations and design are best for what format
  • Ability deliver high quality designs in a fast paced environment
  • Incredible project management skills, managing multiple projects at once paying close attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong communication with project partners the ability to effectively take direction and feedback from coworkers and partners
  • Self-starter mentality with a positive attitude and enthusiasm to craft magical experiences

Bonus Points:

  • Motion graphics a huge plus, but not necessary in the short term
  • Illustration, video production, or photography expertise
  • You have a pet OR know someone who has a very cute pet, as we have a very active #pets-of-segment channel
