Communications Designer
About the role:

As a Communications Designer, you’ll develop strategic and dynamic visual language that
best conveys the value of our platform and engages key audiences across a wide range of digital and offline channels. Our brand design team focuses on three major areas to express the Aurora brand internally and externally: communications design, hero branded virtual office space moments, and the art direction for our book releases and events.

What you'll do:
- Partner with Marketing and Design teams to accomplish overarching strategy and create materials that build awareness and drive engagement
- Use visual storytelling to showcase our brand differentiators and inspire our customers and broader solar community
- Conceptualize and craft creative brand experiences (i.e., website refresh, annual virtual summit, and integrated campaigns)
- Appreciate team needs and deliver exceptional performance-driven creative assets across digital and offline channels
- Manage and prioritize a workload of multiple design projects from concept to completion including: website, banner ads, email, landing pages, infographics, ebooks, videos, DM, print, trade show design, and sales enablement (presentations, brochures, collateral)
- Ensure brand consistency across every customer touchpoint and utilize customer insights and data to inform marketing design strategy, increase engagement and conversion
- Develop resources, guidelines and templates that empower cross-functional teams to create beautiful and thoughtful brand expressions
- Maintain Aurora’s brand visual system while upholding brand standards and guidelines
- Express the personality of our company in an effective way
What we value:
- 3+ years' experience designing for an in-house creative department or agency
- Experience with B2B and a startup environment preferred
- Passion for developing standards and design systems that create huge impact through simple solutions
- Ability to make design decisions while gaining buy-in from multiple stakeholders
- Strong editorial and art direction skills
- Mastery of craft in typography, composition, iconography, and color
- Ability to work on multiple projects on a high caliber level
- Exceptional portfolio with real-world examples demonstrating a strong record of branding, communication design, promotion, and environmental design
- Fluent with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, and video editing tools. HTML email design experience is a plus
