Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, every Atlassian will have the choice to work from an office or from home.

Atlassian is one of the fastest-growing software companies in the world, with millions of users across our products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello, and Statuspage, to name a few.). We're making a substantial investment in experience design, seeking to make Atlassian products crucial for all Teams. We're growing our global design organization and searching for passionate, hardworking designers to help us.

Are you a design leader with a passion for crafting developer experiences? We are looking for a leader within our DevOps solution design team. We are revolutionizing the software industry and helping teams collaborate and craft that magic in delivering their best work. Think NASA launching the Rover on Mars or Cochlear gifting children born deaf with the ability to hear, your work directly impacts the products they use to advance humanity.

Your role will be to help grow and scale the design team, ensuring we focus on the right problems and stay true to shipping valued experiences to our customers. You'll work collaboratively with your product and engineering management triad teammates to remove any roadblocks and facilitate fast execution and timely decision-making.

In this role you'll get to

• Be a strategic partner of the DevOps leadership team, working closely with the Engineering and Product to define strategy and roadmap as a key contributor to our DevOps vision.

• Assume ownership for the overall experience quality of Bitbucket and Statuspage, continuing to build on existing foundations as well as envisioning its future.

• Be a diligent innovator. With a pulse on the constantly evolving strategy and trends in product design, you will help your team anticipate and adjust to new challenges and ensure constant innovation within your org.

• Build and share our product design strategy through storytelling with great presentation skills.

• Lead and manage a precocious and high-performing team of designers across San Francisco and Austin, TX. With a passion for developing others, you'll coach and inspire your team towards success and cohesion.

More about you

On Your First Day, We'll Expect You To Have:

• You have 10+ years of professional UX design experience

• Experience leading the design of a technical product, ideally for a developer audience

• You'll harness your significant experience (5+ years) leading and managing a senior-level team

• You have a strong passion for (and experience in) building sophisticated enterprise-level software

• You're able to demonstrate a record of shipping simple, beautiful software
