As Afterpay’s Global Creative Director, you’ll own the creative vision, strategy and execution for our brand and how we show up in the world across all external surfaces and channels, partnerships and promotions. You will report into the Global CMO.
This is a role for someone who lives and breathes fashion and retail. For someone who is ready to build an incredible creative team inside one of the world's most venerated new brands.
Things move pretty fast at Afterpay so you’ll need to be comfortable with speed and ambiguity. What we know right now is that you’ll have responsibility over the following areas:
-Establish a creative vision for our brand that manifests itself across the world
-Stewarding our brand, ensuring consistent usage and roll out of brand guidelines across all channels
-Ensure we remain on the pulse of millennial and Gen Z trends, bringing relevant creative ideas, partnership ideas and insights that reflect our position as a leading brand for the next generation of most valuable consumers.
-Take ownership of our creative presence across all surfaces from billboards, TV and social across to work we co-create with our merchant partners
-Build out an internal creative team and identify the required talent and external relationships that will fuel your success
-Be hands on in creative direction and execution for campaigns both small and large, tactical and strategic, for both B2C and B2B programs

-Your head will be abuzz with things we should be doing - not only in responses to briefs you see, but as you see ways to communicate our brand in the world or support our merchants in beautiful, fast and innovative ways.

-You won’t sleep until your work is in the world and you’ll wake up with an idea that you will wrestle all the way to execution.
-You will be able to work with external agency partners with empathy and respect
-You can interpret ideas that others have and turn them into real life magic

-You will have impeccable creative taste and develop work that matches, and even exceeds, the standards set by some of the greatest retailers and fashion brands in the world.
-You will also be scrappy and will be comfortable with the speed and hustle of the retail industry
-You’ll think mobile-first (It’s a cliche but our audience live in their phones)
-10+ years experience in a creative role, with at least 5 years of management experience
-Deep understanding of marketing channels and consumer touch points, especially site, email, and social channels. Experience working on brand campaigns including TV, radio, out of home, direct mail, and paid digital/social.
-In depth knowledge of graphic design, photography & video concepting, direction and production, creative composition, as well as editorial/copy
-Experience working in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands, with DTC or e-commerce experience a big plus
-Proficient in creative design platforms and presentation tools
-Previous experience running creative for an international company preferred
