Job Description

As a Lead Product Designer, you will join a team of like-minded, mission-driven designers bringing more affordable medical imaging to the world - by creating digital experiences and products that are simple, human, and bold.

Our Lead Product Designers take a product, feature, or experience from ideation to production. This includes vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.

A successful candidate will have a portfolio that demonstrates familiarity with most of these kinds of projects. 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be: 

  • Wireframe, prototype, iterate, and launch new product features by data, and market research 
  • Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and business development
  • Regularly presenting your work to the team and cross-functional partners
  • Maintaining high design standards through thoughtful critique 
  • Testing new ideas and push boundaries
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • 10+ years of product design experience 
  • A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging experiences
  • Outstanding UX ability, visual design and product thinking for mobile and web apps
  • Experience applying research, usability tests, and metrics to inform design decisions
  • Comfort with an iterative design process
  • Competence in relevant design and prototyping tools
  • Strong collaboration and self-management skills

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Experience with design tools like Figma and Principle
  • Previous work experience in a consumer-facing tech organization
