The Opportunity
As the Manager, Retail Signage and Environment, you’ll work in partnership with key leaders to develop compelling visual programs and proposals for both merchants and centers. The ideal Visual Merchandising Manager will take their years of best-in-class retail experience and apply an entrepreneurial approach to creating and scaling visual strategy for Afterpay across 100,000+ storefronts as well as within malls & centers.
We are much more than our job descriptions, but here’s where you will begin….
-Partner with Creative, Marketing, Operations, and Merchant teams to develop compelling, relevant and successful in-store signage and store team collateral across various merchant verticals & store footprints
-Own the creation of visual merchandising playbooks (across verticals, store footprints, seasonal moments, and regions) and directives for merchants and centers
-Lead the process of developing creative briefs for key retailers & categories; inclusive of deeply understanding merchant requirements, practical constraints, and consumer experience objectives
-Develop and present partner-facing proposals
-Clearly articulate merchandising best practices and ensure proper execution of assets in store
-Conduct research on visual merchandising strategies to ensure proposals are best-in-class and forward thinking
-Develop forecasts for collateral needs based on merchant inputs, Afterpay goals, and corresponding budget requirements
-Drive towards data and insights-driven visual program that maximizes retailer and Afterpay ROI
Who are you? (Qualifications)

You’ll have….
-7+ years of experience working in visual merchandising with focus in retail or other related field
-Strong understanding of retail environment, ideally with agency experience
-Strong eye for quality, and attention to detail
-Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to tight and demanding deadlines
-Excellent communication skills; ability to provide direction to merchant teams and visual team members as needed; ability to take direction and communicate issues or problems
-Strong presentation and negotiation skills
-Creative thinker in regards to the strategic process that aligns with brand & partner goals
-Proficient with Adobe Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
