You and the Product Design team will create the next generation user experience for banks and their partners to interact with each other. You will be the first hire dedicated to overseeing design for Bond. Your passion and experience in web and mobile design will influence the way all of our customers interact with the platform. By re-inventing banking technology platforms, you redefine how the entire industry operates. This role will initially report to our Head of Product and is a unique opportunity for you to help to revolutionize the industry.
You will:
- Develop and evangelize Bond’s design system
- Take broad and ambiguous ideas and convert them into polished, high quality user experiences
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to gain empathy for the user pain points and build the best solutions
- Communicate with precision and clarity in written and verbal form
- Partner with marketing to develop cohesion between marketing, collateral and product design
- Be comfortable with handling multiple critical projects and iterate quickly with keen attention to detail and regular validation with customers and end users
- Have a hunger to improve your craft and constantly learn
- Eventually hire a team of designers, and being an awesome player-coach
You should have:
- 5+ years of experience in a previous design role with a software or agency environment focused on enterprise software, fintech, or platform technology companies
- Experience building design systems and comfort with ambiguity
- Portfolio with examples of execution from high level strategic direction to hands-on prototyping that includes shipping quality desktop and mobile products
- Extensive experience conducting user research
- Fluency in Figma, Invision, Sketch or other prototyping tools
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferably from a School of Art and Design
You also likely have:
- Experience in banking or financial services technology
- Experience building and managing a team
- Experience collaborating with data science
