About the Role

As a product designer on special projects, you’ll lead the design effort in creating experiences for remote operations that will be key in rolling out our autonomous fleet. You’ll be collaborating with product managers and engineers to explore various ideas and shape the user experience.

Your work will be critical to Nuro’s success and will be pioneering a new experience that could change the industry.

• Understand the needs of our customers. You’ll shadow our operators and assist with research to understand the needs of our customers

• Learn cutting-edge technology. You’ll work closely with software and hardware engineers to understand all the technology that powers our autonomous fleet

• Create thoughtful solutions. You’ll explore a wide range of solutions that are easy to use and solve complex problems

• Drive rapid learning and iteration. You’ll work quickly to test and validate designs early and often

• Collaborate cross-functionally. You’ll work closely with product, user research and engineering to ensure we’re designing cohesive and magical product experiences while articulating design rationale to stakeholders

• You are fascinated by creating experiences that never existed before. You are excited about exploring all the possibilities and thinking about the future

• You think about experiences beyond screens. When it comes to designing experience, you think beyond screens, such as voice, motion, and 3D

• You have designed exceptional user experiences. You love pushing the limit and boundaries with your breadth of talents. Your portfolio showcases how they come together in real life

• You can hustle and are a self-starter. You care about speed and producing high-quality work. You’re motivated to move quickly because you want to learn quickly and get magical experience to users as soon as possible

• You’re a great communicator. You are skilled at communicating with users and stakeholders to translate your vision and explain design decisions
