Product Designer (UI/UX)
Position Overview:
We’re on the search for a Product Designer (UI/UX) who is experienced in partnering with product managers to strategically identify problems, collaboratively solve these problems at a high level using strategic thinking, information architecture, and design skills. Reporting to the Associate Director, UI/UX, the Principal Product Designer will actively demonstrate solutioning, then bring the proposed solution strategy to a variety of stakeholders who will validate digital flows, prototypes, research, and final execution.
Similarly, as the Product Designer (UI/UX) you will be researching and creating experiences, patterns, interactions, and user flows that address user needs and goals while also satisfying systems requirements and organizational objectives. In this role you will own projects from conception to launch and measure success through data and user research, as you will play a key part in road mapping, feature design, and the overall UX quality of the endpoint clinical product ecosystem.
*This role can be based remotely on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct internal and external user research and testing to gather qualitative data for design decisions and translate requirements into real life features.
- Work on features and products through their entire lifecycle: user research, journey mapping, competitive analysis, product definition, lo-fi/hi-fi wires, usability testing, launch, and beyond.
- Lead continuous efforts to improve, maintain and enforce design patterns and design systems across multiple products.
- Present UX work and findings to a variety of audiences, including business product owners, IT resources, and senior leaders throughout the enterprise.
- Collaborate and negotiate with technical teams to ensure design concepts are feasibility and continually champion importance of design in final products.
- Create appropriate interactive design deliverable for each project (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, mockups, storyboards) and iterate upon multiple ideas.
- Frame the problem for greater shared understanding of how design rationale bolsters and speaks to that problem trying to be solved by the organization.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Information Sciences, Data Science, Human-Centered Design, Communication, Psychology, Data Visualization, or other relevant degree or other equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of proven ability to translate user needs into effective visual and interactive design.
- 3+ years of leading teams to outcomes in the world.
- Exposure to a product-model approach, Lean UX and service design.
- Knowledge of modern front-end development (i.e. CSS, HTML, React, etc.) and performance techniques on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Knowledge of statistics and principles of experimental design.
- Ability to adhere to design standards and contribute to design maturity as it relates to design systems and other design operational efforts.
- Familiarity with life science industry is a plus.
- Proven tenacity to deliver great products amid a wide span of objectives and stakeholders.
- Fluency in commonly used design software and related tools.
- Experience with InVision (Craft Manager, Freehand, Prototyping, DSM), Sketch and other authoring and sharing tools.
