We’re building a new kind of pharmacy to cure one of our healthcare system’s most startling ills: over 50% of prescriptions are never picked up. Because staying on track with doctor’s orders requires more than just delivering pills, we’re managing everything from insurance logistics to pricing, late-night questions to supply chain, and anything else that could stand in the way of effective treatment. Our more than 700 employees are dedicated to fulfilling medicine’s true purpose: to improve the quality of life for everyone who needs it. We’ve filled over 1 million prescriptions to date. To aid our calling, we’ve raised $354 million in funding, and we’re on track to achieve $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 2021. Join us as we prove just how much a pharmacy can deliver.

About the Team

As a Product Designer at Alto Pharmacy, you’ll be responsible for crafting a set of products that underpin Alto’s ability to provide an unmatched level of pharmacy service at scale. You’ll join a team of passionate designers dedicated to building world-class patient and provider experiences, as well as tools and systems that help our pharmacists provide the best patient case possible, and we're looking for designers across all areas of the product as we continue to scale.

Accelerate your career as you:

  • Take ambiguous, broad problems and turn them into delightful solutions that will greatly impact our users.
  • Drive the end-to-end development process: from early research, to uncovering opportunities and establishing our high-level product strategy, to validating hypotheses through constant iteration and experimentation
  • Employ your full stack of design skills (e.g. interaction, visual, prototyping) to ship experiences people love
  • Impact other designers around you through mentoring, feedback and inspiration

A bit about you:

  • 7-10 years of professional experience designing user-centric experiences for web, desktop and mobile and are fluent in the latest product design trends, tools and technologies cross platform
  • You're creative, curious, and a problem solver who loves to detangle complexity
  • You feel at home either working with consumer apps or complex internal tools
  • You love fast-paced environments and have a bias towards shipping and learning, rather than pursuing perfection
  • You don’t just design solutions in a silo – you constantly think about the impact of your ideas on the rest of the product ecosystem and the business
  • You love reconciling business goals with user goals into delightful experiences
  • Ability to tell a compelling story verbally and through visuals
  • Ability to leverage prototyping to develop more convincing solutions

In order for your application to be considered, we require a portfolio or case studies demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; application of interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows; expertise in wielding information hierarchy, layout, composition, and typography. Please supply a link to your portfolio with your application.
