Title: Production Designer
Location:  Must be in the USA - Remote role
At Productboard, we believe in making products that matter – products that not only solve real-world problems but also delight the user. To help us with this mission, we’re looking for a multidisciplinary Production Designer to join our fast-growing Brand Marketing team.

You'll be involved in all stages of the design process, from early discovery and ideation to full-fidelity mockups and final file delivery. You'll work closely with marketing, brand, product, content, and events to bring imaginative and creative ideas to life.

We’re looking for a passionate, thoughtful, and dedicated creative thinker who thrives in a dynamic atmosphere. You will be responsible for executing marketing design briefs while delivering on a high level of quality. The Production Designer will work closely with the Brand Design and Marketing teams to produce final print, digital and web-ready files that meet all technical requirements while maintaining creative integrity. We are looking for someone with high attention to detail and who is technically proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. The purpose of this role is to take some of the weight of asset building off of the conceptual teams by utilizing efficient production workflows that also ensure pixel-perfect asset delivery under tight deadlines. You must be able to take design direction with ease while staying extremely organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

On a typical day you will:

  • Produce marketing design initiatives and collaborate closely with other designers on the team
  • Prepare and deliver static/animated assets for web, paid marketing, blog, social, and other digital communication channels
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to make thoughtful recommendations and decisions together
  • Juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping priority and urgency
  • Share your knowledge and perspective with your peers
  • Apply broad knowledge of production skills, project workflows, and file/asset management, to handle assigned projects with minimal supervision
  • Ship quickly. Find new efficiencies. Keep an eye on the small stuff. Make it beautiful.

Relevant experience

  • 2-3 years experience at a SaaS/tech startup or as an in-house designer. Agency experience is a plus
  • Solid working experience building, editing, and optimizing pixel and vector graphics (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Worked on digital campaigns attached to a marketing department or agency
  • Able to show a breadth of work from digital ads, event production, and presentations
  • Ability to work through multiple iterations and with speed and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently, but also be an excellent collaborator
  • A dedication to delivering great work.

Must have skills

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote and Google Slides
  • Ability to craft data visualizations to communicate complex information
  • An understanding of visually engaging design aesthetics
  • Solid understanding of typography, color spaces, and page layout
  • Work samples online or as PDF, including digital-focused projects which demonstrate a dedication to high quality and production.
  • Generally being a nice person, who's fun to work with and be around

Bonus points for:

  • Copywriting skills
  • Motion & animation
  • Illustration
  • Event design and production (bonus points for digital events)
  • HTML, CSS
