Senior User Experience Researcher
- Prioritize and align on research needs in partnership with Product, Design and Marketing teams, including user segmentation, product design, concept testing, branding
- Frame research goals and identify appropriate research methodology, and incorporate third-party tools and research partners when applicable
- Design and conduct qualitative research to explore user behavior and motivations through usability testing, surveys, diary studies, group discussions and interviews, A/B testing
- Summarize and advocate research findings and actionable insights to partners
- Establish and standardize research processes internally, including centralized resources, dashboards and trackers for teams to use
- Expertise with research design using a variety of research methods, such as usability testing, surveys, diary studies, group discussions and interviews, A/B testing
- Experience driving impact towards different phases of product development
- 8+ years of experience leading research projects within product research and development, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, and custom research
- Exceptional communication skills to summarize user research findings to different audiences
- Incredible resourcefulness and collaboration to guide teams to agreement and actions
- Flexibility to adapt to changing pace, to learn with us and be nimble :)
- Experience building research processes, and hunger to build our research practices from scratch!
- Experience managing third-party research partners
- Experience with communication apps or social products; experience with communities, voice or video a great plus
- Passion for Discord and belief in our mission to bring a sense of belonging to everyone
- Experience in gaming or understanding of gaming landscape
- Mentor or management experience
- Experience with international user base (e.g. field visits)
