Job Description

Scout RRP, a Workday company, is a leading provider in cloud-based strategic sourcing solutions that help organizations source faster and achieve better business outcomes. Scout RFP has a direct impact on Workday’s ability to deliver a comprehensive source-to-pay strategic sourcing offering, elevating the office of procurement in strategic importance and transforming the procurement function.  

Scout RFP is looking for a UX/UI Product Designer to join its Product Design team. This position will play a critical role in our customer-informed software development process. Scout has the engineering resources to bring your work to life, as well as the enterprise customers that will use it on a daily basis. 

Users love Scout RFP because the experience makes sense. Whereas they typically work with clunky enterprise software, Scout RFP allows them to get work done without fighting the software. This happens by design.

You are a designer who takes the time to understand our users - their needs and their abilities. You love staying on top of the latest design patterns. You would rather remove an element from a page than clutter the screen. You can't wait to get your prototypes in front of real users to see how they react and adjust to their feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product owners to understand user problems
• Work with active customers to solve their problems, not build their solution
• Translate requirements into concepts and elegant user experiences
• Collaborate with engineering team to bring your new designs to life 
• Be responsible for creating task flows, wireframes, interaction models, and high-fidelity UI designs that promote ease of use and optimize Scout UX
• Partner with design team to evolve design patterns to create a friendly and approachable user experience
• Build high-fidelity prototypes
• Run user research and user testing sessions

Requirements:

• 4-6 years experience designing business, consumer, commercial, and enterprise web applications.
• You must be willing to work in our San Francisco office. 
• Experience or desire to work at a fast-paced start-up.
• Deep understanding of design deliverables such as information architecture maps, workflow documentation, wireframes, visual designs as well as thorough knowledge of using Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and other design tools.
• Strong prototyping skills and using prototype tools such as UXPin, Figma, Justinmind or something similar.
• Ability to empathize with users and dive into their domain.
• Well attuned attention to detail in designing experiences, ability to think through different scenarios users might encounter outside of the “happy path”.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders and customers as well as receive feedback on designs.
• Portfolio of UI/UX  applications of B2B SaaS products.
