About the team:

The Crunchyroll Games team is growing fast! We are a team of highly-motivated people spanning several internal departments — from Business to Marketing to Audience Development to Design. The team works closely with content providers and licensors to develop and promote mobile games for the Crunchyroll community. We are adding this position to support the promotion of our ever-expanding library of games.

Location: San Francisco

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional specialists assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV’s passionate communities.

About you:

Do you love mobile gaming and innovative design? Are you interested in bringing awesome games to our passionate and lively community? If so, we have the perfect job opportunity for you! We are looking for a hardworking and highly-motivated Graphic Designer to join the games team for a 6-month contract basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic, visual, or web design or equivalent experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing design work that has shipped to market as well as your design process
• 5+ years of professional design experience. Design experience with social media marketing or games marketing a plus
• Can consistently produce creative solutions that serve the needs of the users and business
• Flexible and can navigate a fast-paced environment. Can handle your time effectively across multiple projects to adhere to production schedules
• Self-motivated, hard-working, and eager to learn
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain creative concepts, requirements, and process clearly and concisely
• A track record of successful end-to-end project concepting, design, and delivery to market
• Expert skills in modern design programs like Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch
• Understanding and up to date experience with modern web application technologies and responsive web design
• Familiarity with anime, gaming and online fandom communities a plus
• Experience working with IPs a plus
• Understanding of social media channels and standard methodologies preferred

A day in the life of our Sr. Graphic Designer Contractor:

• Works collaboratively with the cross-functional team to envision and craft the ideal experience
• Drives the design process, gathering input and feedback from internal and external partners
• Delivers digital designs and assets in collaboration with creative team members
• On occasion, communicates with external licensors to drive approvals and alignment
• Works with front-end web developer on web design aspects
• Works with the Events team to build collateral for print
