The Role

At Zeus our design team is responsible for creating experiences for all of our customers and stakeholders, including; residents, property owners, partners, vendors, and staff. We are creative thinkers, and passionate problem solvers committed to a human-centered methodology, rooted in research and highly-iterative.

We are seeking a Senior Designer to support the Marketing team. A strategic thinker, they will lead the design and execution of brand experiences that communicate our offering and build trust with our customers. Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team that includes marketing, research, and product teams, the Senior Designer will be responsible for crafting beautiful and thoughtful design solutions across marketing collateral, advertising (digital and print), and other communications — from awareness and consideration to key touch-points throughout and after their stay.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes; marketing leads, copywriters, research, product and business teams
• Partner with key stakeholders to help drive the strategy and decision-making for both tactical and strategic aspects of projects
• Lead design and production on one to two projects concurrently
• Participate in all phases of the projects lifecycle, including research, definition, concepting, refinement and final production
• Provide art direction for photography, illustration and video assets
• Manage and/or mentor junior design team members on projects
• Contribute to overall growth and culture of the design team at Zeus
• Present work and rationale for design critiques and stakeholders reviews
• Advocate for Zeus users and user centered design practices/methodologies
• Maintain an understanding of design and branding trends, design tools and best practices
• In partnership with the research team, assist or lead on user research initiatives
• Create and maintain clean and clear design documentation and deliverables
• Contribute to and help maintain the brand and design systems at Zeus
• Always strive to deliver beautifully crafted designs that meet business objectives and delight users

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience designing brand, marketing and advertising creative
• Degree in Graphic Design, Design Communications, or related field of study (or work experience in lieu of degree)
• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality concepts and visual design
• Experience designing consumer-facing marketing/brand collateral and advertising
• An eye for composition, typography and the detail with great care for craft
• Demonstrated ability to lead and complete complex design projects
• Understanding of design research, design processes and methodology
• A strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas
• An understanding of design trends and best-practices
• Experience providing direction to and mentoring junior staff
• Fast learner and self-starter
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar tools

Extremely Helpful:

• Passion for hospitality and/or real estate industry
• Photography and/or illustration skills
• Animation and/or video experience
• Copywriting and content strategy
• Design for web and mobile applications
