What we are looking for:
A talented qualitative Senior UX Researcher that is a master facilitator and relationship manager. You are metrics-minded and will bring a deep understanding of diverse research methodologies and skill translating insights into business impact which will shape the future of our product. You are a strong communicator and storyteller and have a track record of applying a user-centered approach to problem-solving and will work with your teammates to ensure that we are empowering everyone at MasterClass to make quick, data-informed, and empathetic decisions.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Conduct generative and evaluative research that informs long-term product vision and discovers new business opportunities
- Create innovative and flexible research techniques that balance proven methods with experimentation
- Deliver compelling insights, stories and artifacts and the reasoning behind them to internal stakeholders to help drive evidence-based product and design decisions
- Give feedback in design critiques, coach the team through design and UX decisions, make strategic decisions with your peers in Product and Engineering
- Work with Research Manager to establish training, best practices, and scalable consulting processes to ensure that product teams (and beyond!) can do tactical research with rigor
- Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and stakeholders; Seek and offer candid and constructive feedback, and lean into conflict with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to understand
- Ardently advocate for MasterClass users
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience conducting UX Research on product teams
- Experience with a variety of research methods, at all stages of the product development process, and expertise in sharing actionable insights in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortability with planning, prioritizing, conducting, analyzing and communicating research in a variety of contexts.
- Familiar with design thinking methods and brainstorm facilitation
- Statistical analysis and analytical acumen to interpret, organize, and communicate insights from experiment and survey data
- Ability to understand the business impact of product and design decisions and drive meaningful product value
