The Role:

We have an immediate need for a Technical Artist with professional games production experience. 


As our Tech Artist, you will be primarily responsible for creating tools of the 3D Art team. As well as creating our enormous, growing library of 3D assets in Table & Taste - our brand new food- and decor-based game title currently in development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to help build features and solve creative problems
  • Build rapid prototypes of experimental features using Unity 3D or other mobile platform tools
  • Create tools to speed the workflow of the 3D Art team and Iterate on Unity 3D scene implementation to finalize product and other creative requirements.
  • Develop performant graphics shaders and post processing for awesome visuals
  • Facilitate communication and asset pipeline between engineering and artist teams.

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Excellent communication with a patient and solution-focused attitude
  • Ability to work seamlessly with a team of 3D artists and engineers, as well as independently
  • BS/BA in Computer Science/BA in Digital Media or equivalent industry experience
  • 2 to 4 years of experience writing software tools in C# and Python
  • Experience working with engineers in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Demonstrated experience working in Unity or equivalent Game Engine
  • Proficiency in Maya, 3D Studio Max or similar 3D art creation package
  • Experience working with SVN version control software, Git and Perforce

Bonus Points:

  • Interest in Food and cooking
  • Experience working on photo realistic projects
  • Experience with Photogrammetry
  • Knowledge or interest in Ray Trace Rendering
  • Solid artistic skills (drawing or digital painting).
  • Experience collaborating within a multi-team game studio.
  • Experience working with a large library of 3D assets
  • Ability to write shaders and optimize graphics

Our office is right across the street from Moscone Center West, just minutes from the BART station and 4th + King Caltrain with shuttle service.
