Our Engineers are disrupting the way electronics are manufactured today, and we are looking to bring on an exceptional Contract UI/UX Designer. You will work closely with the Product Managers, helping Tempo Automation transform our customer experience and client facing interface. This role will provide a tremendous amount of value towards our on-going mission. There will be opportunities to extend the contract or convert to permanent employment based on performance and role/team fit. 

What we are looking for:

  • Contract UI/UX designer. Visual/graphic design skills are an extra bonus.
  • Full-time, 3 month contract to start. Option to extend of join Tempo full time at the end of the initial contract period.

You Will:

  • Work with our Product Manager and UX designer to build out the new feature experiences that we are developing.
  • Be able to take ideas that are not always flushed out and help define the problem statement and key use cases that we are trying to solve for.
  • Develop and polish the user flows with the product team.
  • Ensure every flow you design accounts for all edge cases that we can identify, not just the happy path.

Must Have:

  • Experience with web applications. Our current product is a responsive web-based application. Mobile speciality is not required.
  • We have a current design system and a set of patterns you can use. You can use those to start and then we want to evolve them based on your expertise.
  • Strong attention detail.

Nice to have:

  • The more self directed you are the better. We want you to be part of the team, not just pushing pixels.
  • Have built a design system before and an interest to build another one.
  • Experience / interest in graphic design.
  • Experience / interest working in manufacturing or hardware environment. 

Location:

  • We are located in San Francisco, but we are open to remote employees for this role. We work 9-5 PST and would want to ensure we can meet during those hours for some period of time to collaborate.
