Job Description
BAE Space and Mission Systems in Fairborn OH is looking for a new team member to assist our customers in developing Models and Simulations of advanced systems to assess how they will perform. In this role you will work side-by-side with our customers to develop models, assess performance, and create reports for use by a wider audience. Active DoD TS//SCI clearance is required.
What you will do:

  • Create integrated systems models.
  • Conduct trade studies to optimize system parameters.
  • Develop new intelligence products based on customer needs and project requirements.
  • Develop analysis and reports of assessments from detailed analysis for distribution to internal and external customers.
  • Implement advanced algorithms.
  • Characterize the performance of advanced remote sensing systems and relate sensor performance to the ability to detect, track, classify, and characterize objects of interest.
  • Analyze geolocation uncertainty and correct for geolocation bias of remote sensing systems.
  • Document research through technical reports, algorithm description documentation, and briefings.


Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or clean room, outdoors or remote research environment.
  • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
  • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Experience with mission level simulation environments (AFSIM, Simulink, etc)
  • Software experience (preferred C++, python)
  • Analysis/system performance experience preferred (Matlab, python)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Travel and local commute between BAE campuses and other possible non-BAE locations may be required.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
