DESCRIPTION

EPAM Google Cloud Practice is looking for an Apigee Architect. As an Architect, you will be responsible for the design and development of next-generation hybrid cloud platform solutions and supervising their implementation across different clients and engineering teams, ensuring that the industry best practices are incorporated.

Position location and travel: US-wide, ability to travel 50% of the time as required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Analyze and design complex software systems
  • Coordinate and drive end-to-end software development cycle developing architecture for enterprise-level solutions
  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture
  • Define and analyze objectives, scope, issues, and organizational impact of information systems
  • Organize and direct all stages of the development process, embodied in its components, their relationships to each other and the environment, and the principles governing its design and evolution
  • Create solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure and other related technical artifacts
  • Iterate on software artifacts and other tangible byproducts of the software delivery process
  • Communicate with project stakeholders to define specific product requirements, documenting design specifications, key entities and elements, data transformations and conversions
  • Work on architecture-level change requests to ensure standardized methods and procedures are used and the impact of change-related incidents is minimized
  • Review white papers, blueprints, and technology roadmaps

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Experience with API design
  • Apigee - strong understanding and experience is mandatory
  • Understanding of HTTP specification, REST, JSON and XML
  • Understanding of TLS, certificates, keystore and truststore
  • Understanding of API testing
  • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript or Python
  • Familiarity with OpenApi specification
  • Familiarity with Oauth
  • Familiarity with OOP and GOF Design Patterns
  • Familiarity with Scrum or similar agile practices
  • Ability to distill complex requirements
