About Your Team

Software Infrastructure team serves as the platform which powers autonomy algorithms both onboard and offboard. We are providing computing, storage, communication and data center services & tools to enable autonomy stack to run onboard on the vehicle and offboard inside the data-center. We also provide infrastructure software to support offline machine learning training, data pipelines and simulation for validation and verification.

About Your Role

You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today. In this impactful role, you will mainly contribute to the cloud infrastructure: designing cloud application architecture, standing up services in the cloud, managing logs and data in the cloud. You will be leading our hybrid data center strategy.

About Your Work

• Migrate and operate developer facing services from on-prem infrastructure to the cloud
• Develop, manage and serve log/data to all applications including simulation, machine learning training, data analytics etc.
• Provide service architecture reference to other software teams to bootstrap individual applications, work closely with them to design scalable, reliable and secure services and applications
• Work with Site Reliability Engineer in our team to set up and manage appropriate monitoring, alerting for all services running in the cloud
• Improve cloud usage efficiency by enforcing explicit user auditing, bookkeeping, data retention policy, data tiering

About You

• BS, MS, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar with 3+ years of experience building production cloud infrastructure software
• Deep aspiration of how cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP works
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, micro-service architecture, container, Kubernetes, data pipeline, big data ETL processing
• Experience of developing, deploying, monitoring services in production environments 
• Comfortable working across teams and organizations to drive the finish line

Nice To Haves

• Experience with programming language C++, Python, Golang
• Cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP
• Infrastructure experience in self-driving industry
