About Your Role
You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today. In this impactful role, you will work on actuator control for steering, throttle, and braking on the trucks to track an input trajectory. You will collaborate closely with hardware, embedded, motion planning, and infrastructure engineers to achieve desired results.
About Your Work
- Real-time control functionality implementation in C/C++ and development of tools in C++/Python
- Model vehicle dynamics and validate in-vehicle controller performance against functional requirements
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that arise during field testing and continued onboard performance tuning
About You
- Thorough understanding of (classical) control theory, vehicle dynamics, and state estimation with application to vehicle control
- Strong math, physics, C++/Python programming skills
- Experience designing, implementing and extending novel algorithms
Nice to haves
- Relevant automotive industry experience
- Experience developing a guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) stack for a real world application
- Experience modeling vehicle dynamics and developing simulation tools
- Embedded programming experience
