Developer Relations Engineer - Location Flexible
Role Description
As a Developer Relations Engineer, you’ll be part of the dynamic and growing Hello Sign API team tasked with driving the technical excellence and usability of the Hello Sign API. In this role, you’ll build on your technical and communication skills and experience in both engineering and business contexts. You’ll be responsible for engaging, enabling and supporting developers to integrate their solutions with the Hello Sign API. You’ll act as a subject matter expert on the HelloSign APIs, creating best practice content and trainings for the community, ensuring our SDKs and documentation are continually up to date. You will also collaborate with EPD teams to help shape and streamline our processes so that our external code and documentation are always simple to understand and easy to use.

Responsibilities
- Create and disseminate easy to understand technical materials for developers, including API documentation, how-to guides, reference architectures, code samples, and trainings
- Develop technical and business understanding of a wide range of use cases, ranging from security to collaboration, such that you can offer best-practices and guidance to the developer community
- Develop and execute strategy to engage and grow our developer community through an API playground, trainings, events and engagement with customers
- Share your expertise and passion by speaking at events, conducting training sessions, and authoring technical content for developers across our blogs, forums, and other social media
- Surface strategic opportunities, influential developers, and potential partners pipeline to advance the brand and initiatives of the platform
- Be the voice of the developer internally during product discussions and evaluating priorities of bugs and feature requests
Requirements
- Relevant experience as an external-facing technologist at the intersection of product, engineering, and business (e.g. developer advocate, developer evangelist, developer experience engineer, technical support, sales engineer, solution architect, product management)
- Comfortable building with the HS APIs, creating code samples across languages, and debugging developer issues
- Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Success
- Enough familiarity with multiple languages and the ability to quickly pick them up so that you can maintain the various SDKs that we own and maintain
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience writing technical content and explaining technical concepts
- Deep understanding and empathy for developers and customers, with genuine passion for enabling and advocating for developer success
- Self-starter with strong strategic intuition and excellent project management skills
