Senior Engineering Manager, Internationalization

We're looking for an Engineering Manager for the newly formed Internationalization Engineering team. You will work on the much anticipated effort in making Reddit a more international brand and product for our users around the world. It’s a rare opportunity for you to jumpstart an important company initiative, collaborate with a product lead to set the team strategy, build solutions to achieve product market fit and hire a diverse and driven team to execute on the roadmap.

Responsibilities:
- Provide hands on technical leadership by building foundational systems, participating in technical design and contributing to product strategy.
- Drive execution with a sense of urgency, collaborate with teams cross-functionally to set clear goals, and deliver against them.
- Build the engineering team - hire, manage, mentor, inspire, and retain software engineers.
- Partner with Lead PM to facilitate, manage and prioritize a robust backlog and roadmap.
- Establish best practices for developing on i18n and share learnings with the company.
What We Can Expect From You:

- A strategic thinker who thrives when developing long-term strategy in addition to delivering technical execution.
- Exceptional independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on a consumer product.
- Passion for a/b testing and learning at a fast pace.
- 5+ years experience growing and managing a team of engineers.
- 5+ years of industry experience shipping production software as a software engineer.

- Experience growing at-scale consumer products outside the US.
