About The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to build and scale the Payroll team. You’ll have the opportunity to use cutting edge technology. We care a lot about making sure Rippling is performant and free of bugs for our end users. We want to work with exceptional engineers, who get bored at large companies. We are made up of small teams that move fast.
What You'll Do:
- Help build a world-class engineering team
- Build software and systems that move billions of dollars in payroll
- Ship incrementally and continually at high velocity
- Mentor others with your expertise
- This is a player coach role there for you will be hands on coding
- 2+ years experience managing teams of 5+ engineers
- 5+ years experience in software engineering roles
- Expertise building complex, distributed services
- Strong CS knowledge
- Empathetic
- User focused
- Strong hands on coding, design, and architectural skills
