As a Foundry Technologist, you will support new product development through technology assessment and engineering support. This position should be familiar with the fabless semiconductor model with intimate knowledge of advanced semiconductor processes, design rules, and foundry production.

He or she will be responsible for interfacing with foundries, customizing technology files, supporting tapeout and production ramp. In this regard, he or she will have to publish process-related design guidelines and respond to process/device related questions by ASIC designers. Moreover, the person will have to interact with leading foundries on a regular basis during all phases of design from concept through product ensuring and flagging critical information and collateral.

Minimum qualifications

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of practical experience
  • Experience in foundry management or technology development for digital, sram and mixed signal processes
  • Strong background in one or more of the following - device physics, transistor and wire modeling, device reliability, statistical analysis, yield analysis over a wide range of technology nodes. 
  • Understanding of SoC chip implementation (e.g. digital/physical/mixed signal/circuit design, physical verification, EDA tools)

Preferred qualifications

  • Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering / Device Physics; 10 years of practical experience
  • Excellent communication skills with multiple language proficiency as a bonus.
  • Strong statistical and mathematical analysis background for large dataset analysis.
  • Understand process, device and product qualification
  • Debug and bringup experience with different leading edge PFA, EFA techniques and platforms.
  • Recent tapeout experience in with high-performance, high volume design across many technology nodes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership managing foundry evaluation, assessment, and industry roadmaps.
  • Support internal design engineering teams as the primary foundry interface, communicating any and all updates to roadmaps, design collateral, and process status.
  • Work with architecture and micro-architecture teams to evaluate custom solutions through foundry partnership.
  • Collaborate with hardware design team on development and definition of circuit simulation and timing analysis methodologies to achieve full process entitlement for performance, power and yield andto minimize gap between pre-layout predictive simulations and post-layout results.
  • Support post-silicon bringup and product activities
