The FPGA Verification Engineer will develop verification environments, work with designers on testing, and ensure the functionality of FPGA systems.
Zoox is looking for an RTL and systems verification engineer to join its Advanced Hardware Engineering team. In this role, you will be working closely with the design team to validate custom FPGA-based embedded systems. You will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and reliability of our critical systems.
The candidate will be expected to work closely with RTL, DSP, and embedded software engineers to develop a deep understanding of the overall system and individual building blocks. The candidate will be responsible for building up a validation infrastructure to verify the behavior of custom IP from the unit level up to the system level.
In this role, you will:
- Work with Zoox FPGA/SW designers to understand the testing needs for various FPGA/embedded platforms and create a verification environment from the ground up
- Develop and implement a thorough test methodology that provides full coverage of FPGA IP functionality and the systems they support
- Integrate RTL verification framework with system-level test frameworks
Qualifications
- BS or MS in a relevant degree (CS/CE, EE, ME, etc.)
- 2+ years of industry experience in RTL verification
- Experience in defining and creating verification environments for embedded systems and RTL
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL/Python/Perl)
- Familiarity with Unix environments
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Familiarity with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, Vivado, SDK
- Experience with formal verification environments (UVM, etc.)
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $181,000 to $291,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
