Individuals in this role will work with dedicated mentors on a broad array of software systems and UI/UX projects ranging from automating the lab to large scale data processing.

Each and every engineer takes ownership of the quality of our systems: from design, implementation, testing and finally to production. Through directed mentorship, individuals in this program will learn about writing software in a highly regulated environment while continuously improving our platform.
You Will Be:
- Improve existing sequencing analysis software user interfaces
- Build new features to our clinical laboratory software based on requests from the clinical lab
- Improve our test suite for UI components
- Help create test reports for new projects
- Deep dive into user experience and optimizing information flow for end users
Your Background Should Include:
- Not a traditional Computer Science graduate
- Passionate about biotech and GRAIL’s mission, no experience required
- UI/UX coding academy graduate, software development bootcamp or certification graduate, Bachelor's degree in STEM, or equivalent experience
- Experience contributing to software projects, requirements gathering, and working with other engineers and product managers in a collaborative environment
- Experience working with Javascript and React
- Thrives in working in between the seams of multidisciplinary organizations and has high interest in creating a supportive, collaborative environment
- Adaptable to different working environments and teams with willingness to learn new techniques and teach others
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Are a motivated leader with focus on continuous self-improvement
