Zoom Events provides immersive virtual consumer event experiences for companies of all sizes, from solo entrepreneurs, to small-medium businesses, to large enterprises. Success means we’re delivering the most delightful and empowering event and video experience to our customers and users.

You will be responsible for designing, building, optimizing and deploying core services for the Zoom Events platform. In addition, you will have a unique opportunity to not only immerse in a full software development life cycle from conceptual design to graduation demo for various Zoom Events feature sets, but also build an exciting eco-system with our valued customers together.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level roadmap vision into feasible feature specifications and deliverables
• Design and develop the Zoom Events platform with Java using the springboot framework (experience in Node.js, or Python a plus)
• Create a secure and scalable platform utilizing the the latest cloud infrastructure technologies (i.e. Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, AWS, NoSQL)
• Build customer-facing websites with responsive and adaptive web design principles to facilitate an enriched virtual event experience utilizing JS frameworks (i.e. React,, Angular), HTML5 and CSS. React Native is also a plus
• Drive cloud based test automation solutions and deployment strategy to optimize service performance and ensure product stability using AWS infrastructure (i.e. EC2, ECS, ElasticCache, S3)
• Build complex metrics solutions with data visualization support for actionable business insights
• Triage critical customer issues and support customer engagement

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience in building large-scale cloud applications
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (such as MySQL, Amazon DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• In-depth experience with algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques
• Experienced in cloud application security and familiar with secure development practices
• Working knowledge of web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Spring Metrics)
• Familiar with other leading app marketplace or ecommerce platforms
• Willing to learn, experiment, and think creatively
