We are looking for experienced Full Stack Engineers to expand Pathstream’s impact to the millions of Americans without access to effective education and career preparedness for today’s high-demand digital-skills jobs. 

 

Pathstream is looking for Full Stack Engineers to join a team of talented developers. As a Full Stack Engineer you should expect to work on stories that change several parts of the system, Your day to day will involve working closely with the Product manager in an agile/scrum process on the stories you have for each sprint, developing features, fixing potential bugs and writing automated tests for your code. This position has the option to be based at Pathstream’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco, CA or Remote in the US.

Interested? You’ll know that this opportunity is a good fit for you if:

  • You’re a quick study who can rapidly ramp up and start contributing
  • You’ve been the primary or a significant contributor to the development of large-scale web applications, and have dealt with scaling problems and performance tuning
  • You’re a team-player who is at home in an agile environment with weekly sprints, and continuous development and deployment
  • You’re a self-starter who presses into ambiguity and is able to learn whatever you need to to get the job done
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to effectively communicate with non technical stakeholders
  • You understand that this is a startup and that you are your own QA team (This is why experience automating the testing of your own code is a plus!)

We're looking for developers who already have the following digital skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of work experience developing complex web applications
  • React and React Redux
  • Ruby on Rails or experience with other OOP server-side frameworks a plus. But have the desire and ability to learn RoR if not familiar
  • NodeJS and Express a plus
  • Proficiency with relational databases and SQL
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Well-versed in AWS a plus (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, Simple Email Service)
  • Experience with micro-services architecture also a plus
