Hardware Test Engineer

About your team
The hardware engineering team is responsible for developing the mechanical, electrical, and software components that integrate automated driving technology (sensors, computers, actuators) onto trucks. We ensure that the automation hardware added to the trucks is safe, reliable, and provides the functionality needed for autonomous operation.
About your role
We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to develop and execute a hardware evaluation and verification test strategy for Ike’s automated trucking technology.
About your work
- Create and execute evaluation and verification test plans and procedures
- Collaborate with the systems and hardware design teams to create unambiguous and testable hardware requirements
- Review hardware designs for testability
- Write test scripts or software for the purpose of test execution
- Develop electromechanical test fixtures and hardware in the loop infrastructure
- Collaborate with the hardware design team to troubleshoot and find root cause for hardware failures
- Manage third party test houses
- Create test reports for the hardware DVP&R
About you
- Significant experience developing and executing test plans and procedures for complex electromechanical devices
- Experience managing third party testing resources
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and best practices
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing methods
Nice to have
- Experience with automotive or vehicle reliability and interoperability testing
