Job Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will help build the core platform that powers all our financial products at Branch. You will collaborate with team members across Engineering, as well as with our business and operations teams to help grow and define the underlying infrastructure. Your work will enable our engineering and product teams to build and deliver world-class products to our customers.

Responsibilities

• You will design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure used by all of Branch’s engineering teams, and support our growing workloads.
• You will debug production issues across services and different levels of the technology stack.
• You will work with engineers across the company to identify key areas for infrastructure improvement.
• You will design and implement best practices for security, monitoring, and logging systems.
• You will define and plan the technical direction of Branch’s growing infrastructure.
• You will be a mentor to other team members in building the core infrastructure.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or devops.
• Experience with writing production code and designing distributed systems.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders including engineering, product and other internal operations teams.
• Experience with cloud networking and security.
• Experience managing clusters and infrastructure. Management of container-based workloads using Kubernetes or other orchestration software is a plus.
• Experience in developing infrastructure, configuration, and deployment scripting and automation for large scale / high complexity services.
• Experience working with on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Heroku)
• Practical, proven knowledge of at least one higher-level language (Python, Go, Ruby, Java, C++, or similar).
• Expert level understanding of Linux systems.
