As Instacart continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Sr Endpoint Engineer with a broad range of skills focused on endpoint management and scripting. Our ideal candidate has a rich and diverse technical background, is creative and passionate about IT endpoint systems, as well as standardization, optimization, and automation.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Help lead in the design and maintenance of our current device management systems
- Device management and automation, including Desktop (Windows, MacOS), VDI, and Mobile Device management
- Manage 3000+ macOS clients, configuration profiles, DEP, VPP, application patches and security using industry-led security protocols and standards
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time of any task
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of availability for all systems
- Monitor and resolve alerting issues for all endpoint related systems
- Monitor and test system performance for potential bottlenecks, and collaborate to drive solutions and implement changes
- Provide 3rd level support for team related assets and domains
- Work closely with vendors and other IT personnel to identify and resolve issues with systems and infrastructure
- Provide training, documentation, and learning opportunities across the organization
ABOUT YOU
- You believe in automating and optimizing systems to create a frictionless experience for our users.
- You have experience leading and working on large scale applications and deployments across an organization and have experience in designing, building, and managing endpoint management systems like Jamf, VMWare Airwatch, etc.
- You have strong knowledge in macOS, Windows, ACLs, Directory Services, Wi-Fi, PKI, & Munki
- You have in-depth and broad knowledge in troubleshooting macOS and Windows computers including packaging and automating software installs (Windows and macOS).
- You are great at communicating with all types of people and personalities
- You love delivering great and professional customer service
- You have experience with implementing and supporting enterprise technologies
- You have experience with one or more scripting/coding languages (Python/Powershell)
- You are great at creating documentation, knowledge sharing and training junior team members.
