Cardless is a fintech startup. Our mission is to make consumer credit more accessible, useful, and engaging, and we do that by partnering with brands to help them launch financial products.
We've begun with a focus on co-branded credit cards. We were founded in 2019, and we last raised a $40M Series B in 2021. Our investors include top VCs like Activant, Accomplice, and Greycroft; founders from successful startups like Plaid, SeatGeek, and FiveStars; and executives from major sports teams like the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns.
The Role
Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Typescript and React frameworks - bonus points for React Native expertise! We are looking for people with experience driving consumer-products, experimentation, and iterative improvements. Today our stack consists of Typescript + React web app as well as a React Native mobile app.
What You Will Do• Build, design, and monitor elegant features across multiple product surfaces: our marketing site, application and account web apps, and our React Native mobile app."• Help lead our team in tech-forward design, thinking through challenging problems such as experimentation and internationalization in a highly-regulated industry• Focus on quality, testing, robustness, and customer experience
The Requirements

Everyone has unique strengths & weaknesses, and we hire for strength & potential, not lack of weakness.• Experience architecting a modern web app (ideally with React, 3-5 years of industry experience but we care more about skillset than number of years)• Experience leading projects• Broad, high-level expertise across engineering, product, and design (e.g. how apps work, APIs, UI & UX patterns, experimentation, etc.).• Deep, low-level expertise in the web platform and some modern framework (covering e.g. layout, navigation/transitions, state management, etc.).• Passion for both your craft (building things right) and achieving real-world impact (building the right things for our business & customers).• A love for experimentation and data-driven iteration• Ability to make tradeoffs on priorities
Location
We're headquartered in San Francisco, CA, with a beautiful office in the Mission District (near Dolores Park). We are hiring remotely across the continental US for most roles and we welcome employees who want to work from this office as well as those who work remotely.

Compensation
This role has an annual starting salary range of $160,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits (see above). Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and specific work location.
